Zachary Walker
I have an MS in data analysis and visualization from Pratt Institute, New York City.
I approach data problems holistically and ethically, and I design projects and methodologies to be as open and inclusive as possible. This process also extends to my visual design work, making sure that visualizations are accessible to everyone who may be included in an audience. I’m interested in cities and urban issues, and social issues facing our changing planet. I believe access to data and the ability to understand data is critical for a fairer world.
Before getting my MS degree, I worked at Airbnb for over four years as a cartographer and researcher. I spent nearly two years consulting as the technical lead for the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, and I’ve been a product specialist at a startup incubator in NYC advising companies on product design and development.
I’m a musician, a writer, a sailor, and a husband.
